EPASS -THE SALIENT FEATURES OF ONLINE POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SYSTEM IN THE STATE OF ANDHRA  PRADESH

                        we are all aware about the grand/huge/tremendous success of the complete online post matric scholarship system proudly implementing in the state of andhra Pradesh .The scheme of reimbursement of tuition fee(RTF) & maintenance fee(MTF)(both RTF & MTF are two components of the scholarship scheme) is running on SATURATION POLICY covering all eligible SC,ST,BC,EBC,DISABLED& MINORITY students of around 26 lakhs per year and the expenditure of about Rs.4000 crores per annum by COMPLETE ONLINE SYSTEM with TOTAL TRANSPARENCY from registration to disbursement leaving no scope to DELAY, CORRUPTION& MIDDLEMEN INTERRUPTION .
                The remarkable success of the AP POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME is now attracting & drawing the attention of the other states as well as central government. A word is circling among the officials of AP govt is that the Government of INDIA shall extend this scheme to entire INDIA very soon.It is a very good sign and mostly inevitable.
            Some of the salient features of post matric scholarships scheme of AP GOVT is given under.
1.Irrespective of caste , around 26 lakh students are covered under this scheme every year.
2.The scheme is implementing on SATURATION MODE ,thanks to GOVT OF AP for taking such bold decision.
3.The system is fully automated & completely made online.
4.The system is working and uniformly administered by the PRINCIPAL SECRETARY OF SOCIAL WELFARE department.
5.All 26 lakh students are provided with USER ID & PASS WORDS to process their queries at all the time.
6.All the principals of 11000 colleges are provided with USER ID & PASS WORDS to forward the scholarship claims of their students to the next level .
7.All 4500 verification officers are provided with USER ID & PASS WORDS to recommend the scholarship claims of the students to the concerned district officers.
8.The EPASS(AP scholarship portal) server is directly linked with SSC database server.As a result , no student can enter his name manually in the online application form to claim post matric scholarsip.He only enters his ssc hall ticket number and year of passing and immediately the data of the student like name, parent name,date of birth etc are displayed automatically in the application form.In 2010-11, NO SINGLE STUDENT OF 26 LAKHS STUDENTS COULD ENTERED HIS NAME MANUALLY FOR CLAIMING SCHOLARSHIPS.CAUSING THIS ,THE DUPLICATE CLAIMS HAVE COMPLETELY BEEN ELIMINATED. THIS IS THE REAL BEAUTY OF THE SYSTEM.
