EPASS SCHOLARSHIPS-RAISED INCOME CEILING & SCHOLARSHIP RATES TO SC,ST STUDENTS:-
Oh its good-its awesome-its remarkable...to all sc& st students of andhra pradesh who are pursueing post matric courses from ITI to Ph.D. The Government of ANDHRA PRADESH has raised the income ceiling limt to claim post matric scholarships from Rs. 1 lakh per annum to Rs. 2 lakh per annum for sc & st students from this academic year i.e, 2011-12.But in case of BC,EBC,DISABLED & MINORITY students the income limit is unaltered and continues with the existing ceiling i.e, Rs. 1 lakh per annum claiming for PMS.
The GOVT OF AP has also remarkably enhanced the scholarship rates or maintenance rates(MTF rates) as per the GOVT OF INDIA rates for SC & ST students from the academic year 2011-12 by merging student managed hostels into dayscholars taking the higher side whereas no changes have occured in case of BC,DISABLED & MINORITY students.
Now the scholarship rates for all eligible SC,ST,BC,DISABLED & MINORITY students of the state of ANDHRA PRADESH from the academic year 2011-12 as under.

In the G.Os 1st & 2nd read above, orders were issued enhancing the income ceiling upto Rs.1.00 lakh per annum for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students pursuing Post Matric Courses for claiming Post Matric Scholarships which include reimbursement of tuition fee and maintenance charges with effect from 01.04.2008.

1 In the references 5& 6read above, the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India have enhanced the annual ceiling on family income for claiming Post Matric Scholarships from Rs.1.00 lakh to Rs.2.00 lakhs per annum and also enhanced the rates of monthly maintenance charges for Hostellers & Day scholars under PostMatric Scholarship Scheme for Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes students as follows:
2 It has been decided after detailed examination by the Group of Ministers on Post Matric Scholarships, that the present categories of Student Managed Hostels and Day Scholars be categorized as Day Scholars. The College Attached Hostels (CAH) and Department Attached Hostels (DAH) shall be categorized as hostels henceforth. In line with the Government of India proposals, the maintenance fee shall be, henceforth, classified into two categories namely Hostels and Day Scholars.
3 Government after careful examination hereby enhance the income limit eligibility & the maintenance fee in respect of Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes Students from the academic year 201112 with effect from 01072011 as follows:

a) Enhance the annual ceiling on income from Rs.1.00 lakh to 2.00 lakhs from the current academic year 201112, with the effect from 01072011, to be eligible for the PMS.

b) Enhance the maintenance charges for Hostellers & Day Scholars. Henceforth the categories of student managed hostels & day scholars shall be referred to as day scholars (DS) and Department Attached Hostels (DAH) and College Attached Hostels (CAH) as hostellers. The revised rates for Hostellers and Day Scholars from the current academic year 201112, with effect from 01072011, shall be as under:

1 The Commissioner, Social Welfare & Tribal Welfare shall ensure that the revised guidelines for income limit & maintenance fee are given effect from the current academic year 201112, with effect from 01072011.
